The basic production specialization of the holding enterprises.
JSC "Defence systems"
- Fulfillment of functions of basic holding company and coordination
of daughter companies activities.
- Fulfillment of functions of IFIG "Defence systems" central
company.
- Head enterprise on creation, supply, repair and maintenance
of "Pechora - 2M" ADMS and round scan optronic station "Phoenix".
- Head enterprise on supply, repair an maintenance of radar
stations P-18 and "Kama-N".
Being a production structure, JSC 'Defence
systems' has on the rights of propriety production areas,
including special equipment assembling and adjustment workshop,
complex test bench of territorial automated systems, complex
of technological equipment for works with special equipment.
The sphere of JSC 'Defence systems' activities
includes export deliveries of 'Pechora - 2M' ADMS, optronic
station 'Phoenix', mobile repair depot for export modifications
of S-300 ADMS, radar P-18 and 'Kama - N', and also wide number
of services for foreign customers on maintenance and repair
of ADMS means both in Russia and on the territory of the customer.
Modernized ADMS "Pechora - 2M"
It
provides protection from all offence aerodynamic means. In
comparison with other ADMS it is especially effective in protection
from low altitude and small size targets.
New optronic system of 'Pechora - 2M' ADMS
allows to detect, estimate and track flying targets during
day and night time. New means of protection from active noises
and from radiation self guided missiles were introduced.
Usage of modernized missile increased distance
and effectiveness of target destruction. The change of basic
equipment to digital and solid state one increased reliability
and service life of the ADMS, exploitational charges decreased,
the number of combat crew reduced.
Usage of program control of the antenna
hydraulic drive, mounting of the ADMS on automobile chassis,
usage of modern communication means and satellite navigation
equipment provided mobility of the complex, significantly
reduced its deployment time.
The complex can be interfaced with remote
radars and higher command post by telecode channels. Moving
the control cabin away from the antenna post, usage of electronic
countermeasures complex from antiradar missiles allow to increase
the vitality of complex..

Round scan optronic station "Phoenix".
The
'Phoenix' optronic round-scan target detection system provides
detection, tracking and accurate designation of various ground
targets (tanks, fast patrol boats) and air targets (subsonic
and supersonic aircrafts, missiles, including sea-skimming
anti-ship missiles, guided air bombs, helicopters, etc.).
The station discriminates targets clustered in azimuth or
in elevation. It can be used separately, with other firing
assets or in conjunction with the radars for increasing the
combat efficiency of the air defence systems. The hidden processing
of the station is provided when the enemy uses technical means
of reconnaissance.
The station comprises:
- optronic device;
- data display and control console with the control
computer;
- special calculator;
- power supply unit;
- the set of the connective cables and binders.
Options:
- turret device;
- stabilized platform;
- laser range scope with the thermal imaging guidance channel.
The "Phoenix"
station as a part of the combat complex is vital in following
situations:
- enemy electronic countermeasures;
- imposed emission pan;
- enemy use of fire means for radar suppression.
.
The "Phoenix" station can be mounted
on warships of various classes, ground vehicles, combat vehicles
of the air defence and on stationary posts.
Radar stations
Modernized radar P-18
Designed for
air targets detection and designation of their coordinates
in structure of the air defense automated control system.
The modernization provides:
- radar immunity to active jamming of a modern level;
- increase of efficiency and stability of protection system
operation against passive jamming;
- automation of processing the radar information data output
and air objects formation;
- collection, processing and display of the route information
from several radars on remote equipment sets (data collection
equipment complexes);
- interface of the radar into any automatic control systems,
including those of the national production;
- replacement of the out-of-date equipment for a new one,
executed on modern (digital and solid-state) element base;
- reduction of technical maintenance time of the modernized
radar in 1,6-1,7 times in comparison with base model due to
application of self-testing modes of the equipment;
- reduction of average time for restoration of the radar serviceability.
.
Thus, as a result of modernization the P-18
turns in a modern radar, capable to control air situation
more effective in conditions of active radar countermeasures.
"Kama - N"
The
radar Kama-N is designed for measurements of current coordinates
of flying vehicles trajectory (of satellites, rockets, missiles,
projectiles, pilot-balloons, etc.). The radar operates as
part of measurement complex, or independently.
The radar functions in one of two modes
of operation: by answer signal of airborne transponder or
by return signal.
The transportable variation of the Kama-N
radar outfit includes:
- antenna post KH-1,
- equipment cabin KH-2,
- primary voltage converter K22M,
- diesel power plant ЭД-60,
- set of waveguides, cables, adjustment equipment and kit
of spares, tools and accessories.
Transportation means are not included in
the radar complete set and supplied individually.

It is designed
to repair the S-300PMU and S-300PMU1 ADM systems and restore
them to normal functioning. It provides for the repair of
standard replaceable electronic equipment components (storage
cells, chips, PCBs, subunits and certain units) and conduct
of other operations within the scope of the medium repair
level.
The repair depot is comprised of:
- checkout and diagnostic workshop;
- technological workshop;
- machine workshop;
- spare parts, tools and accessories depot;
- communication facilities checkout and diagnostic workshop;

The checkout and diagnostic workshop is
equipped with the AS5-2 automated system, making it possible
to check and diagnose at least 90% of the digital, digital-analog
and analog components of the S-300PMU and S-300PMU1 ADM systems.
The
address of JSC 'Defence systems' and the central company of
the IFIG 'Defence systems' is:
JSC "Scientific and industrial enterprise "Moscow radio engineering plant"
In 1900 Russian - Belgium percussion cap
plant was launched, this date is considered to be the birth
date of the enterprise. The hunters' and live cartridges,
artillery shells were the main production of the plant, till
1945 when its production profile was changed to mastering
and manufacture of radio electronic equipment according to
the decree of the Governmental State Defence Committee.
Since 1946 it has been one of the leading
enterprises in production of air defence means, then anti
missile means and the head enterprise in production and supplying
air defence means, developed by Central design bureau 'Almaz'
beginning with S-25, S-75, S-125, S-200 and till S-300PMU-1.
In 1965 the plant was renamed to Kuntsevo
mechanical plant (KMP), and in 1971 to Moscow radio engineering
plant.
In 1993 the plant was registered as joint
stock company 'Moscow radio engineering plant', which was
reformed to joint stock company 'Scientific and industrial
